Dr. Dubravko Pavlin
Dr. Pavlin is a board certified orthodontist and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He serves as a professor of Orthodontic, Division of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, USA. He is a full time orthodontic educator and faculty in the USA for the past 29 years. Since 2014, part time faculty in the Division of Orthodontics and in private orthodontic practice in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Obtained Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut, USA, and a D.M.D and M.S.D. degrees form the University of Zagreb, Croatia. His special areas of expertise are orthodontic biomechanics, treatment planning, evidence based treatment, and the effect of mechanical loading on bone. His research in bone biology and clinical orthodontics was published in prestigious journals and book chapters, including the 6th edition (2016) of the Graber’s Orthodontics. Dr. Pavlin lectures regularly in the US and around the world in the areas of accelerated tooth movement, biomechanics and bone biology.
